SIXTY PLUS GROUP

Background – Sixty Plus Group is an independent subsidiary of the Tri-City India Association (TRICIA). Since its inception its purpose was to address unique issues experienced by TRICIA Members of Indo-American origin, sixty years and older.

Objectives – Bring 60 years and older Indo-Americans together, benefit by sharing their life experiences; provide support to members in need, organize group entertainment program, optimize use of available senior citizen facilities, discuss interesting issues (religion, history, health problems & preventive measures, life in our adopted nation, our heritage etc.); coordinate community services & donations to charitable organizations in the Capital District.

Membership – We welcome all Indo-Americans of age sixty or older in this group. For a husband/wife team one of them must be sixty or older. To meet our expenses members pay $50.00 per year (Husband & Wife) or $ 25.00 per year per person as annual membership and pay for their dinner each month. The fiscal year for this group is January through December.

Program – This group meets on third Wednesday or Thursday of each month unless members decide to hold a given meeting on a different day/date. Members are informed about these meetings and other pertinent information via e-mail. Members, who do not yet have e-mail facilities, are sent newsletters and other information via USPS.
